Watcher on the Wall

My first attempt since elementary school at making "pretty pictures" and putting them somewhere. Done in fifteen minutes since it took so long figuring out the dang toolbar.
There is a small story behind this drawing: it's a very poor attempt at me getting the image from my head to the canvas, or in this case the computer screen.
The story goes in the ancient time of man there were demons that began a war of extermination. At the worst point of the Demon War the prayers of man were answered and seven holy warriors were sent to earth to save them from the abyss. The strength of these seven divine fighters pushed back the demon army, to the very gates of Hell itself. Knowing that the humans were too weak to continue the war even with the aid of his six companions, Michael, leader of the Seven Divine Knights challenged Satan the Demon King to a one-on-one duel that would bring peace for a time for the realm of mortals and allow them the time they needed to rebuild.
Accepting Michael's challenge, the two warriors meet out on a massive field next to a cliff near the human town of Maganon, only two miles away from where the demon army first emerged from a Hell-Portal in the nearby Nightwood Forest. Taking up the spear he had been using since arriving in the realm of mortals, Michael faces across from Satan, their respective sides at their backs watching with great anticipation; both sides knowing this would be the deciding fight for the realm of men.
In the climatic moment of their fight the two warriors unleashed the might of Heaven and Hell itself, their very battle creating a deep scar in the land that almost split the very continent in two. For a hundred miles, from the cliff's edge to the mountains far to the north a scar ran across the land with only the spot where the two warriors clashed remaining untouched. In that spot the only bridging piece of land remained untouched near the cliff's edge the two titans continued their climatic duel.
After a full day of fighting without a break and shaking the whole of creation the two powerful warriors came to a standstill, both injured and neither wanting to die, an uneasy truce was made between the two sides that while it wouldn't be a lasting peace it would give both sides a chance to rebuild.
For forty years only one of the seven Holy Warriors, Uriel, the most devout and loyal to the cause remained to watch over the borders of the Hell-Portal and to help Humanity rebuild while his brethren returned home, beginning with the town of Maganon, transforming it into a city that would become a true "Jewel of Humanity" and acting as the one real "Gateway to Humanity" from cursed lands to the west. For forty years Uriel watched from his place atop the wall, waiting for the inevitable day when the demons would return; a day many of the people Uriel sought to protect saw as a day that would never come.
Thus we reach the scene drawn above when Uriel from his place atop the wall witnesses the appearance of the Demon General Fenris, Vanguard of Satan's Army: a powerful Wolf-Demon whose very touch poisons the land.
War has returned to the lands of men.
